About us

Hangar 21 Aviation was founded in 2022 by Gavin and Andrea Kelley of Heath, Texas.  Its mission is to provide flexible aviation training and air transport solutions to the East Texas community.  They are moving forward with establishing a charitable organization  to provide much needed air transportation for people who require distant medical care and social services.

Gavin is a Captain at a major U.S. airline and a seasoned instructor pilot.  He has maintained an impeccable safety record throughout his 25 years in commercial aviation.  Gavin has accumulated more than 17,000 hours of flight time in everything from small open-cockpit biplanes and light twins to mid-sized turboprops and large passenger jets.

Andrea’s experience ranges from work in human resources, coordinating charitable events, managing athletic organizations and photography. Her organizational skills and eye for detail are necessary for the successful execution of the business plan.

Gavin and Andrea have been married for 21 years and are excited about fulfilling a decades long dream of starting a company to help their community.
